Apple AirPods is much a raved product of the season. Apple launches always tempt us with their oh-so high-end product designing. But, not to forget the price, they demand from us. You must have questioned yourself is it worth buying these latest wireless earbuds, by burning a big hole in our pockets. This detailed review will surely help you out in making the choice. Before jumping into the review.

Apple has refreshed the super popular earbuds with the latest AirPods (2019), and even newer AirPods Pro, which means the tech giant, has discontinued the original AirPods. The AirPods could be your best solution if you’re an iPhone owner, with every new model, from the iPhone 7 to the new iPhone 11 Pro and the oh-so latest iPhone 11 Pro Max, lacking a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Though we all were used to the free original AirPods that we used to get with our iPhone purchases, it’s hard for us to invest so much in the AirPods (2019). The second-gen of AirPods is not water or sweat-resistant, the feature which is present in the latest AirPods Pro but for those who are on a budget, the regular AirPods(2019) are among the best wireless earbuds for the money.

Let’s hop into the review.

AirPods Design

It goes without saying that Apple didn’t have to tweak much of anything, so it didn’t. The 0.14 ounce, 0.7x 0.7 x 1.6-inch buds are still cased in the old glossy white plastic protruding into a long stem that’s capped off by silvery chrome. The only clue that they are a 2nd generation AirPods is the wireless charging case. Both the current and previous-generation cases are made of the same shiny white plastic as the buds, with the same rear-mounted pairing button and the chrome-lined Lightning port.

As per the design since we don’t find any innovation we would like to give it a 3-star rating (out of 5).

AirPods Comfort

Since it shares the same dimensions and design as the previous AirPods, but what we loved about this second-generation AirPods is that it has a very lightweight effortlessness. The 0.14-ounce buds nestle gently into the ears, never causing any uncomfortable pressure.

Once you wear it sticks on your ears so tightly and with a light feeling that even if you are running on a treadmill it won’t fall. But, many AirPod users have encountered a problem that the AirPods don’t fit into their ears. That means it is nice but not for everyone. Apple seriously needs to look at that, if it’s the true encounter people have faced. So, we would recommend you to try it before buying it.

On the grounds of comfort, we would like to give a 4.5-star rating to the wireless buds.

AirPods Pairing and Switching Speed

Another important factor that needs to be considered before owning it is the pairing speed of the device. On testing the pairing of the Airpods (2019) to the iPhone 11 Pro Max we found that it took about 3.2 seconds to connect while the original took 5.2 seconds.

The extra bit of pick up and go comes from the Apple’s new H1 chip, which the company says enables the AirPods to offer longer talk times, and greater battery life last for 5 hours on a charge, and device switching that is twice as fast as its predecessor. It’s apt for mobile games, cutting audio latency while gaming by 30 percent.

On the parameter of pairing and switching speed, we would rate the AirPods as 4.5 stars.

AirPods sound quality

The company has made several improvements to the AirPods, still, the audio quality didn’t make the cut. Though the AirPods deliver good quality, with solid soundstage and clean vocals, but the bass can be a little cold and boomy at times, while the highs can be somewhat recessed.

On the terms of sound quality, we would like to give it a 3.5-star rating.

Overall the second generation of AirPods is a good deal to go with. You can make your purchase from the link provided below
